The Like a Dragon series is well known for its plethora ofunique and wacky side quests. One such quest in the latest entry,Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, revolves around collecting balls.
In this side quest, Majima must search for seven Golden Balls scattered across Honolulu and Madlantis. The guide below covers everything you need to know, including how to start the quest, the locations of all the balls, and the best way to end the quest.
How To Start The ‘When You Wish Upon Some Balls’ Substory
Collecting the seven Golden Balls is part of the When You Wish Upon Some Balls substory. Fortunately, players don’t need to seek out this side quest, as it is acquired automatically. Once you begin Chapter 3, The Old Man and the Sea, Captain Beef will task you with finding the Golden Balls when you leave the Revolver Bar.
All Golden Balls Locations in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
Finding the seven Golden Balls inLike a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaiican be a challenging task. While the game provides hints about their locations, many players may need additional assistance. Five of the balls are found in Honolulu, while the remaining two are in Madlantis. All but one require the use of the Chain Hook to retrieve them, which you will have acquired by this point in the story.
Bar Dunghill Golden Ball Location
you’re able to acquire the first Golden Ball on the roof of Bar Dunghill in the Madlantis region. First, head to the Bar District and look for the Hook to the left of the Bar Dunghill signpost. Use it to climb up, then turn right. Above you, you’ll see aman standing on a ledgeholding the first Golden Ball. Use your Chain Hook to retrieve it.
Coliseum Grounds Golden Ball Location
The second Golden Ball, which is also the last one in Madlantis, is located in the Boat Coliseum Grounds area.Head right from the Pirate Coliseum signpostand look for two people fighting. Just behind them, you’ll see a man talking to a woman — he’s the one holding the second Golden Ball. Use your Chain Hook to claim it.
Shinobi Sushi Golden Ball Location
The third Golden Ball, and the first one in Honolulu, is located at the Shinobi Sushi shop on Sakura Street. Look at the shop, and you’ll see a blue statue of a ninja right next to the signpost. The third Golden Ball is positioned between its legs. Use your Chain Hook to retrieve it.
Wan Shang Tong Herbal Medicine Golden Ball Location
The fourth Golden Ball is located on the western side of Honolulu. Head to the Wan Shang Tong Herbal Medicine Shop on Pearl Avenue. Once inside, look to the left of the shopkeeper — you’ll see the Golden Ball on a poster. Use your Chain Hook to retrieve it.
Seaside Avenue Golden Ball Location
The fifth Golden Ball is located near Seaside Avenue, east of Worldwide Market Village. First, head to the marked location on the map and look for the Seaside Sanctuary Hotel signpost. Once you spot it, head north, and look through the hole in the wall and you will see a man sunbathing near a pool. The Golden Ball is positioned between his legs—use your Chain Hook to retrieve it.
Treasure Select Pawn Golden Ball Location
The second-to-last Golden Ball is located inside the Treasure Select Pawn Shop. While there are multiple pawn shops in the game, you’ll need to visit the one on Hula Avenue, located on the eastern side of Honolulu. Head inside, and you’ll see a mannequin to your right. Use your Chain Hook to retrieve the Golden Ball from between its legs.
Sicko Snap Golden Ball Location
The last Golden Ball doesn’t require the use of the Chain Hook. Instead, you’ll need to complete anothersubstory called Snap Those Sickos! Again!.Once you’ve finished it, head to Sicko Snap in East Waikiki.
Talk to the man andselect Redeem Snap Points. Scroll down to the bottom and purchase the final Golden Ball for 3,333 points. With that, you’ll have collected all seven Golden Balls — now it’s time to complete the substory.
Finishing Up The ‘When You Wish Upon Some Balls’ Substory
With all the Golden Balls in your inventory, you’ll receive a message from Shen, asking you to meet him at the docks. Head to the docks on thesouthwest side of Honoluluand talk to him. Choose any option you prefer, and once the conversation concludes, Shen will join your crew. You’ll also receive a reward based on your previous choice.
