Overwatch 2: What Are Perks? Explained
InOverwatch 2,Perks are a new gameplay addition as of Season 15. In any normal Competitive or Quick Play mode matches, players can unlock and progress Perks. At the beginning of a match, all players start with their heroes at Level 1. By dealing damage, healing, scoring eliminations, and gaining Ultimate Charge, players can unlock one Minor Perk to apply to their character at Level 2. Following this, they can again progress towards unlocking one Major Perk to place their character at Level 3, which is the maximum level.
If you change characters at any point during the match, that character will start from Level 1 and must gain their Perks again. For this reason, carefully selecting Perks throughout the match can be crucial, giving you advantages against certain enemies, the potential to play into counters more easily, as well as synergizing with your allies tocreate new combinations for the fight.
