At its core, the social deduction gameAmong Usis about industrious crewmates working together to complete all their tasks while being picked off by devious, disguised impostors. However, one of the most fun elements ofAmong Usfor players is the ability to customize their player character - known colloquially as a “bean” - with a variety of cosmetic items, including hats, gloves, visors, and more.Upcoming PC releaseAmong Us 3Dwill continue that trend, developers confirmed during a press conference to officially announce3D’sdebut.

At the event, which was attended by Game Rant, Schell Games lead producer Bryan Gardiner, project director Ryan Hall, and assistant product marketing manager Adam Kuta revealed thatAmong Us 3Dwill feature a brand-new currency known as Stardust. Stardust, similar to the Stars currency currently present in the 2D version ofAmong Us,will allow players to purchase a variety of cosmetics so they can truly make their “bean” feel like their own.

“We will continue releasing both new and old cosmetics in 3D. We want players to “be the bean” and can’t wait to see what outfits players come up with.”

Currently, theStar currencyin the 2D version ofAmong Usallows players to purchase “Cosmicubes” representing different outfits.
