In a recent post on Reddit, artificialinelegance asked Obsidian to add some way to allow fans to change their appearance. When creating a character, players are limited tochoosing between elves and humans inAvowed. After that, gamers have numerous options to choose from when deciding which godly features a character should have, including their hair, tattoos, and so much more. With so many options, it’s hard to know how someone will feel about their appearance once they actually begin playing the game. For this reason, artificialinelegance claims to have made over a dozen characters in their attempt to find the perfect fit.

Avowed Players Want Some Way to Change Their Appearance

Evathion made a similar post asking for a way to change their protagonist’s appearance, even if there’s some kind of in-game cost or quest. They also noted that the lighting within the character creator is somewhat dark and entering the world proper can turn out to be an unpleasant surprise, especially when considering color tones. Some fans have said that it should be added as afeature withinAvowed’s settings, allowing people to change their appearance at will. One gamer commented that the developers are very aware of the community’s desire for this feature, as it has been brought up many times within the game’s Discord channel. Fortunately, many fans seem to be enjoying the game without the feature for now.

So far,Obsidian has said it’s happy withAvowed’s salesand isn’t ruling out the possibility of DLC or sequels in the future. This was music to the ears of its dedicated players, as many gamers would like to see how the developers might continue to build up the setting and its characters. For now, some people seem content to continue replaying the game in an effort to find every secret in even the hardest-to-reach nooks and crannies of the world. With a whole setting to explore and possibly even more content on the horizon, many players are feeling optimistic about the future ofAvowed.
