While traveling through thevolcanic lands of Galawain’s Tusks, players will enter a Lost Village that will trigger the Chorus of the Lost quest inAvowed. It’s one of the most emotional side quests in the game, as we’ll explore Marius' backstory and meet with one of his afflicted friends. The quest also leads to a confrontation with Razvan, an evil wizard who is responsible for Marius' agony.
How to Start the Chorus of the Lost Quest in Avowed
Marius must be in your party to begin Chorus of the Lost quest and talk to Iancu.
Players can reach the Lost Village in thenortheast corner of Galawain’s Tusksto start the Chorus of the Lost quest inAvowed. After entering the village, players will meet Marius childhood friend, Iancu. Despite beingafflicted with the Dreamthrall, he still manages to remember Marius.
During the conversation, Iancu reveals the fact that Razvan, the person behind everyone in the village dying, is still alive. To find out his whereabouts, players must takeRazvan’s Keyfrom Iancu and visit his hut. Interact withRazvan’s Journalon the table to progress the quest. There’s a chest inside Razvan’s hut you can loot to get some valuable crafting materials.
Reaching the Domain of Razvan
After taking Razvan’s Journal, exit Razvan’s Hut and follow the path to the left, leading to a stone bridge. Here, you’ll fight aBlight Boss called Mizuravul, and taking it down can be a little tricky if your gear is low level.
Once the boss is down, interact with the big stone door for Marius to say the enchanting words. Once Marius recites the words, the door begins to glow, and you’llenter the lava tunnels leading to Razvan’s domain.
Keep following the lava cavern until you climb a few rocks andspot a small entrywayinto the next area. Go straight ahead through the doors, and players will come face to face with Razvan. Before interacting with the boss, head inside the room towards the left to getBattletrance, a unique mace weapon.
Should You Kill or Spare Razvan?
After talking to Razvan, players will discover that he has no regrets over his past actions and still firmly believes in them. So, you’ll have to make an important choice of whether to kill Razvan or spare him.The choice you make here will affect Marius the most.
If you decide tokill Razvan, it’ll lead to a boss fight with him. Defeating Razvan is relatively simple due to his short HP bar and easily avoidable attacks. He’ll mostly rely on summoning phantoms to attack players. After killing Razvan, Marius won’t feel any better and will express his disappointment.
If you take the high road andspare Razvan, Marius will feel satisfied with your decision and be at peace.
Regardless of your decision, exit Razvan’s domain and head back to Iancu to tell him what happened. After the conversation, this will mark the Chorus of the Lost quest inAvowedas complete.
