Avowedhas lots of secret places and hidden treasures to find, andat the beginning of the story, players will soon meet with their first locked door that requires a key to be found: the Northreach Storage room.

Northreach Storage Room Key Location In Avowed
TheNorthreach Storage Room Keyis located in thethird roomfrom entering Fort Nortreach, and players will arrive there as part of theMain Mission Introductory Quest. The key is hidden carefully below a shield. If players take a look at the plant overgrowth in the middle of the room, there will be a corpse holding a shield.
When they approach thebody of an Aedyran soldier, they will notice that they can interact with theshieldto pick it up. Once they do that, looking at the corpse will reveal that it washolding the Storage Room Key.
MostLockedorBlockedDoors in Avowed have an alternative way to be opened. Some of them can be opened from the inside of the room, and require players to do a littleplatformingto reach the treasure inside. Other locked rooms, like cells, often displayRed Explosive Barrelsthat can be shot to break the walls and open a path to collect the treasure inside. Meanwhile, some chests inside rooms might requireLockpicks, so always carry a bunch of them to never miss a single treasure chest.
Pick it up and go back to the first room, turn to the left from the lore book, and open the door. Once inside, check the room for valuables, including theCommon Breastplate, the first piece ofHeavy Armorplayers will pick up during their adventure. Players will also be able to pick up an Essence Potion, a Health Potion, and some gold from the room.
Though the armor offers a lot of protection (18% Damage reduction + 3 Damage Reduction) it also impairs movement. Like any Heavy Armor piece, it also applies a -35 Stamina and -30 Essence penalty, making it harder for players to combo their attacks.
