Act 3 begins with your companions gathering at the camp in Rivington and celebrating their journey so far. This is a great opportunity tospeak to every companion and NPCin your camp before hitting the road.
Performing a long rest at this moment will initiate an event where a portal will appear in your camp. This portal can be taken to reach the Astral Plane, where you’re able to rescue the Emperor and eitheraccept or reject Illithid evolution.

At the Sorcerous Sundries, you should speak to an important NPC, Lorroakkan, who is on a mission to capture Dame Aylin.

Progress Jaheira’s Quest At The Guildhall
