Update 2 forBaldur’s Gate 3’s patch 8 stress testtackles several areas of the game. One important fix introduced in the patch is related to the new cross-play feature, resolving an issue for Xbox players struggling to enable this functionality. PS5 players were also experiencing issues with cross-play, including a “Connection Error” message that sent them back to the main menu and a bug preventing the use of the Friends List to join a cross-play game. Both issues have been resolved in Update 2.

Additionally, changes toBaldur’s Gate 3’s subclassesare also part of this patch, addressing certain overpowered abilities such as the Booming Blade cantrip, which is now available only once per turn. The Swashbuckler rogue’s class action, Dirty Trick: Sand Toss, now uses the player’s Dexterity modifier when performing an attack, and issues with other Dirty Tricks have been fixed as well. Larian also tackled crashes that occurred while players were on split screen, as well as other UI-related problems and issues with modding. The Character Creation functionality has been improved for players using mods, and a bug related to the Mod Verification window has been addressed.
