Clash Royalehas always been known for its 1v1 battles since it launched in 2016, but the devs added 2v2 mode in 2017, and it quickly became a fan favorite. This mode allows fans toteam up with their friendsor random players to take on another duo in battle.
Building a deck for 2v2 mode can be tricky because you’re playing alongside another person. Your opponents are going to have a lot of different cards, so it’s important to have a well-balanced deck that covers all bases. As such, this guide has been updated to include some new picks that work great in this mode. Players will find all kinds of decks below. Some are strong and aggressive, like PEKKA Ram Rider, and others are defensive, like Miner Poison and Tesla Goblinstein.
Guards
Three
P.E.K.K.A. Battle Ramand P.E.K.K.A. Electro Dragon are both great picks for 2v2 mode. In both decks, PEKKA is your main attacker, but you also have a strong backup with Battle Ram and Ram Rider. These cards can do serious damage or at least clear out defensive buildings like Tesla and Cannon so the P.E.K.K.A. can reach the tower. If you have evolved cards, we recommend choosing P.E.K.K.A., Battle Ram, and Electro Dragon for your evolution slots.
Fisherman
These decks might be a bit expensive, but if you play them right, they give you amazing elixir trades. You’ve got solid defense with Electro Dragon, Arrows, Goblinstein, Firecracker, Bomber, and Fisherman. On offense, P.E.K.K.A., Prince, and Ram Rider can deal some serious damage. And don’t forget to use the Rage spell to speed things up when attacking.
Ice Spirit
One
Miner Poison and Goblinstein Tesla are more about defense than brute force. Both decks have solid buildings like Goblin Cage and Tesla to keep your opponents in check. You’ve also got great defensive cards like Knight, Guards, Log, and Poison.
In addition,Goblinstein and Miner are flexibleand can be used for both offense and defense. Since these decks are really cheap, players will be able to cycle their cards quickly, too.
Rage
Two
This deck gives you solid defense with cards like Guards, Cannon, and both Electro and Ice Spirits. The combo of Evo Royal Giant and Evo Hunter is still going strong in the meta. You’ve also got some powerful spells to back them up, like The Log, Poison, and Lightning.
Skeletons
Boss Bandit is still one of thestrongest champions inClash Royaleeven after the recent nerfs. This deck also gives you great defense with cards like Evo Valk, Evo Executioner, Skeletons, Evo Giant Snowball, and Tesla. On top of that, with both Ram Rider and Hog Rider in your deck, you’ve got two strong win conditions to pressure your opponents.
