Summary

Arquebusesare the most powerful Ranged weapons inAvowed, but they are also the slowest since they need to be recharged each time they are shot. They fairly compensate for this with powerful blows capable of one-shotting most opponents, and they’reideal for Ranger builds that rely on critical damage.

If players want to know which of these weapons is the best, they will find all the information about the best Arquebuses inAvowedin this ranked topic. From the most powerful sniper weapon in the game to a simple but effective solution in case players are not lucky enough to find Unique Weapons.

5Legendary Arquebus

The Cheapest Option, But Still Packs A Punch

The Legendary Arquebus is the maximum level a regular Arquebus can reach by upgrading it using materials and Adra, and it does a consistent amount of damage though it doesn’t offer other options unlike the Unique Arquebuses do. Still, if players haven’t upgraded their preferred Arquebuses to the maximum level yet, and they come upon such a weapon, they shouldn’t doubt it and get one of these to hold up until they manage to get enough materials.

The Legendary Arquebus has 369 Physical Damage, 364 Stun build-up, 25 Stamina Cost per shot, and a 3% Critical Hit Chance. All of these values are naturally affected by Ranger Perks such as Marksmanship, Critical Strike, Sniper, and Staggering Shot.

4Izmalt’s Meteoric Apparatus

Great At Dealing With Melee Foes

Izmalt’s Meteoric Apparatus is the closest thing to a shotgun that players will find inAvowed, and it is an Arquebus that is great for dealing with close-range attackers thanks to its Concussive Grudge perk. This weapon can send enemies flying quite some distance (as much as the Power Slide from the Ranger does, at least) and cause Fire Accumulation to nearby enemies each time players slay a foe with it.

Meteoric Burst can also be improved to Lingering Inferno, which creates a small AoE that deals continuous Fire Damage and Accumulation to enemies that step on it, or it can also be improved with the Meteoric Devastation Perk, which increases the Fire Accumulation dealt to enemies each time this weapon kills an enemy.

3Moonstrike

Best Second Option After Heavenstrike

Moonstrike is the first version of the Arquebus crafted with the reward ofthe Forged Of Star-Stuff quest, and it is a powerful ranged firearm with increased elemental damage and the ability to create bursts of Frost Accumulation wherever it hits.

Since this weapon is a less powerful version of the Heavenstrike, it goes without saying that players should pick it only if they are using the Arquebus as a secondary weapon while also wielding a Two-Handed Sword, since there’s a chance they want to use the remaining star metal fragments to improve the other craftable reward of this quest. Otherwise, they should go ahead and improve this weapon to Heavenstrike, which has the same perks but better damage.

2Heavenstrike

Great Combination Of Damage And CC

Heavenstrike isa powerful ranged weaponthat can be obtained when players improve the Moonstrike Arquebus in Solace Keep, after completing the Forged Of Star-Stuff quest. This weapon is a more powerful version of the Moonstrike, which excels at both AoE damage and crowd control. Shooting enemies with it will guarantee a small burst of Frost energy that will deal Frost Accumulation on enemies, and can even Freeze them solid and prime them for Shattering.

All of this weapon’s attacks deal extra Frost Damage, and it has a moderate reload speed. Though slower in comparison with One Last Trick, this can be remedied by wearing the Waverider Gloves or the Gambeson of the Grand Empire, which increases the reload speed of weapons significantly.

1One Last Trick

The Best Arquebus In Avowed

One Last Trick is the most powerful Arquebus in the game, but players will have to keep it around and upgrade it using lots of materials for it to reach the Legendary level (Tier V). Players can get access to this weapon by completing theSteel Resolve Quest in Emerald Stair.

This weapon’s bullets ricochet between targets, a perk that can be further improved to get even more bounces between enemies. It also has a perk that greatly enhances Reload Speed, which is tremendously overpowered for a weapon of this type. Its base damage might be more or less the same as the other Arquebuses, but with the Ricochet and Gunnery perks, it becomes superior to all other options. One of the most broken things about the Ricochet effect is that even Critical Hits bounce and deal the same damage to other enemies, making it possible to take down multiple opponents at the same time.
