He manages to maintain his cover byattacking this crew member and throwing him overboard, but it’s surely only a matter of time before Jun-ho and the others figure out his treacherous nature.

One of the most shocking and heartbreaking games in Season 1 comes from a simple game of marbles, where two close friends assume that they’re going to work together only to be pitted against each other. This is the case with Sang-woo and Ali, who are forced into a game of life and death.
After being on the losing end, Sang-woo decides to employ a bit of trickery and exploits Ali’s trustworthy nature. He steals his marbles and chooses to survive, dooming his friend as he replaces his marbles with worthless stones.

It turns out that Il-nam created these twisted games to highlight how selfish and conceited humanity is. He challenges Gi-hun to spot any form of kindness, losing with his final breath as Gi-hun proves that people are kind and will help out strangers in need.

The Front Man unmasks himself to reveal that he’s none other than the sibling that Jun-ho was searching for all along. He then shoots Jun-ho in the shoulder, causing him to fall from a cliff and into the crashing waves below.It’s a chilling betrayal, but Jun-ho manages to survive and embarks on another hunt to find the island where these games are being conducted, hoping to end this barbarism once and for all.

Keeping in line with the series' tradition, Player 001 in Season 2 is none other than the Front Man himself. He befriends Gi-hun and pretends to be their friend as he survives several games and participates in the coup.

During the game of Mingle, he decides to kick Gyeong-su while under the effect of drugs during a round. It seems like a heartless betrayal, but Thanos sobers up just enough to realize that he made a mistake. All he can do is watch on helplessly as his fan ends up being shot and killed, adding a lot of depth to this rapper’s character and cementing why fans can’t get enough of him.
