The Electro Wizard is one of the earliest Legendary cards to be added toClash Royale. When it first came out, it had a ton of damage and could take out Goblins just with its spawn damage. Soon enough, the nerf hammer dropped, and the Electro Wizard lost a lot of its original strengths.

Electro Wizard Card Overview in Clash Royale
Electro Wizard is a 4-elixir Legendary troop with a unique attack. Similar to the Mega Knight, the Electro Wizard deals spawn damage in a small AOE around it. Though the damage is a lot lower thanthe Mega Knight’s spawn damage, it acts like a Zap, resetting the enemy troops' target.
Electro Wizard’s basic attacks hit up to two units at the same time or a single unit if there are no other targets nearby. Each of its attacks mini-stuns the enemy unit and resets its attack, making it extremelyeffective against troops like Mighty Miner, Sparky, Inferno Dragon, Prince, Evo Royal Recruits, etc.
The Electro Wizards spawn damage can take out Skeletons, Bats, and Spear Goblins.
How to Counter Electro Wizard in Clash Royale
Even though the Electro Wizard’s attack is quite annoying to play against, it’s actually pretty easy to counter. Electro Wizards base HP at tournament levels is only 713. This means that Fireball, with any other spell like The Log or Zap, can fully take out an Electro Wizard before it crosses over the bridge.
Poison is another amazing spell against the Electro Wizard, completely taking it out for an even elixir trade.Mini-Pekka, on top of the Electro Wizard, can also one-shot the troop without you having to overspend.
The Electro Wizard also struggles againstswarm units like Barbarians or Minion Horde. However, the card can fully counter a Goblin Barrel if you place it directly on top of your Tower as the Barrel lands, stunning all the Goblins afterward. This makes it anexcellent card against Log Bait decksif you don’t have the Log or Arrows in your deck.
The Electro Wizard isn’t great against troops that can quickly close a distance, like the Bandit or the Mega Knight.
