11Bone Bludgeon 2
Reliable Low Rank Hammer

Early Poison Build
Once players get through the early part of the campaign and reach hunter rank 5, they’ll have a lot more options for weapon crafting. Farming some Rompopolo parts will let players craft this Hammer, which has a decent basic attack rating as well as poison damage.
With Focus level two, this weapon is good for charging attacks to damage wounds and break monster parts, so using skills like Partbreaker will make it even more effective. If players don’t want to go for poison and part breaking, theBalahara Hammer 2is another good option at this stage, with better headshot stuns and water elemental damage.
9G. Veldian Malleus
Draconic Damage
Once players get to hunter rank 6 and above, they’ll need a good weapon option to carry them through the end of the game and into High Rank hunting. The G. Veldian Malleus is a solid option, as it has an excellent base attack rating for this level, and the Dragon-type damage won’t be resisted by most monsters the player will encounter at this stage. It also still has focus level two, so it has effective charge attacks and can still be used with Partbreaker for breaking parts.
8Cluster Hammer 2
Sleep Build
Sleep is a highly effective status ailment inMonster Hunter Wilds. With Charge Master and Focus, this hammer can reliably proc sleep multiple times in a hunt, allowing the player to get free big damage hits on their target.
For new Hammer players, focus allows charge attacks to charge faster, and charge master increases the power of ailments and elements with charge attacks. Since Hammers have very effective charge attacks anyway, that makes this a potent combo for bonking foes unconscious.
7Artian Hammer
Highly Customizable Hammers
Artian weapons are a different type of weapon to the ones created via the standard monster part crafting system. They don’t have innate skills, instead giving the players more decoration slots to customize with. The stats and element of Artian weapons will also vary depending on the rarity and type of the parts used to make them.
To craft Artian weapons, players need to defeatTempered monsters. They’ll drop various shards which can be appraised after a mission, giving Artian weapon parts of different rarities. The big advantage of Artian weapons is their customizability, allowing players to create the ideal weapon for their build or a specific monster. This Hammer is the first rank of Artian Hammer weapons.
6Shell Hammer
Big Blast Damage
The Shell Hammer is a good all-rounder option to take Hammer players from the lower end of High Rank hunts to the higher tiers. It has a high base damage score for a rarity 6 Hammer, and the added blast damage is a nice bonus. Charge Master level three makes that blast damage even more effective with the Hammer’s heavy charge attacks, too.
The trade-off is that withlow affinity, this weapon will scale much worse for affinity-boosting builds than an Artian Hammer, though this can be offset with skills and gear.
5Singha Gada
Headshot Stuns
The Singha Gada is a good choice for high-rank hunters when they need some ice elemental damage. The big appeal of the Singha Gada is the innate skill Slugger level three, which massively increases stuns from attacks on a monster’s head. The weapon also has white max sharpness, which is uncommonly high for all but the best Hammers.
4G. Exultant Bedivere
Guardian Dragon Hammer
G. Exultant Bedivere is the final Hammer in the G. Arkveld tree, and the Dragon-type damage is still very effective in the right hunts, even atHigh Rank. With Focus level two as an innate skill, players can still rely on faster charge attacks as well as the weapons' high base damage. The affinity is relatively low at -10%, but it’s not as low as some other high-damage weapons, meaning it’s easier to offset this disadvantage with skills.
3Precipice Logamtu
Ultimate Ice Damage
Precipice Logamtu is the ultimate Hammer for dealing ice damage. A lower base damage is offset by a huge 500 elemental ice damage, so if players need to focus on ice damage for an endgame hunt, this Hammer is the best option. With innate focus level three as a skill, charge attacks are easy to pull off, so this is a powerful Hammer when set up with elemental damage buffs.
2Moteurvankel
The Highest Rank Artian Hammer
Moteurvankel is the final Hammer in theArtian weapontree, so players will need to combine Artian weapon parts of the highest rarity to craft it. It allows for the same heavy customization as the previous Artian Hammers, so players are free to craft this Hammer as needed to suit their build (as long as they have the right parts).
