After the new trailer dropped, it was revealed thatBorderlands 4will be showcased again at another upcoming State of Play event, coming sometime in Spring 2025.

With gunplay and unique character abilities being one of theBorderlandsfranchise’s signature strengths, finally getting to see what some of these new tools of mayhem will look like in the franchise’s next game is a sweet treat. Another element of gameplay that the trailer finally puts the spotlight on is some of thenew movement abilities coming toBorderlands 4’s playable characters, notably grappling hooks, double jumps, and swimming.

Arguably, when it comes to the setting and villains that will be featured in the franchise’s upcoming game,Borderlands 4should leave these stones unturnedand instead let fans explore these mysteries firsthand when the game releases. In the meantime, future trailers showcasing more of the gameplay mechanics, special abilities, and weaponry that players will have access to seem like what fans want most.
