Borutois the sequel to the iconic manga of Naruto. However, more often than not, this series has let its own old characters, as well as their fans down. With chapter 19 ofBoruto: Two Blue Vortexdropping earlier, fans got to see yet another Naruto character be let down.
Fans don’t have much expectations from Boruto chapter 20, and it will probably not be any better when it comes to old characters.
Konohamaru Is Let Down Once Again
Konohamaru Is Unable to Do Anything Against Matsuri
Konohamaru has been set up as an important character in the Boruto series, taking the role that Kakashi had in Naruto when it comes to Team 7. However, even now, he has yet to deliver to fans’ expectations.
Chapter 19 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex doesn’t help his case either. Previously, he had gotten in proximity with one of the Shinju,the one known as Matsuri. In this chapter ofBoruto: Two Blue Vortex, however, he gets a few panels with her, and he seems to be absolutely powerless against Matsuri, not even seemingly being able, or even trying, to fight back.

Konohamaru is in a very distressing situationby the end of chapter 19Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, and will likely need to be saved by the others in the next chapter, as, otherwise, he will be consumed.
This is definitely not a good look for him, as he aims to be the Hokage and is simply powerless. What’s worse is this situation is quite simply ridiculous, both in terms of writing, and worse, for Konohamaru’s character as well.
What’s Next For the Boruto Series?
TheBorutomanga is still ongoing, and now that chapter 19 has been released, fans will have to wait a whole month for chapter 20, as the series is a monthly manga. TheBorutomanga can be found on Viz Media or Manga Plus to read whenever a new chapter drops.
When it comes to theBorutoanime, it is currently on hiatus. There are no signs of it returning anytime soon as well. It might be a good while beforeBoruto: Two Blue Vortexis even animated.
For now, the best that fans of the Naruto franchise can look forward to are four new episodes for the Naruto anime, covering some eventsbefore Sasuke left Team 7,although their release date is also unknown.
