Anew update for bothCall of Duty: Black Ops 6andWarzonewas deployed on February 11, making some small improvements to both titles. According to the official patch notes, which can be found further down this article, the latestBlack Ops 6update addresses various stability issues in Zombies, as well as an issue with the Gunsmith in Multiplayer that was preventing players from equipping certain weapon blueprints for the XMG. As forBlack Ops 6Ranked Play, developer Treyarch Studios has made some new restrictions, preventing the use of the KSV and PPSh-41 SMGs and the Cypher 091 Assault Rifle.

It’s not justBlack Ops 6Ranked Playthat has received fresh restrictions either, asWarzone​​​​​​players will no longer be able to use the Experimental Gas Grenade in the competitive game mode following the February 11 update. Alongside a handful of bug fixes for standard Battle Royale, Ranked Play has also had an issue fixed that was preventing some players from being demoted.

Call of Duty’s newest update comes shortly after Treyarch Studios confirmed it would beextending the latest Double XP event forBlack Ops 6andWarzone. Although the studio didn’t officially reveal why it was extending the event, many believe it is due to the PSN outage that occurred between February 7 and 8. The sudden downtime, which Sony provided no explanation for, saw the service offline for roughly 24 hours, preventing users from playing games, browsing the store, chatting with friends, and much more.
