How To Install Civ 7 Mods
Toget Mods forCivilization 7, go to a reputable site that hostsCiv 7mods – the CivFanatics forums is a particularly good place to find mods made by theCivcommunity.
Download your mod, thennavigate to the download location. Open a separate window to locateyourCiv 7mod folder location.
If it’s not here, you may have to find yourCivilization VIIsettings folder elsewhere on your system – the game should automatically create this directory when the game is installed.
Step Two: Extract The Mod To Your Mods Folder, Then Launch The Game
Open up the downloaded archive file for your desired mod, then drag and drop the mod folderinto theCiv 7Mods folder. You do not need to extract the sub-items individually, just drag the overall folder within the archive over to the Mods directory.
Wait for the files to extract, then open upCiv 7. If it launches, your mod is probably active and not causing any problems – but it’s best to check and make sure.
Step Three: Ensure Your Mod Is Enabled In The Civ 7 Mod Settings
After you open upCiv 7, go to the"Additional Settings" menuon the main menu screen, thenclick on the “Mods” tab. In here, you will seeanyCivmods that have been properly installedinto theCiv 7Mod folder location (and any DLC content you have installed).
Look for your mod in the list of additional installed content. If thecheckbox to the right of the mod listing is checked, your mod should be ready to go.
