Over the years,Clash Royalehas added a bunch of new cards to the game, each shaking up the meta and shifting playstyles dramatically. While newer cards often grab the spotlight, some classic cardsstill remain as powerful and relevant. The Mini Pekka stands as a prime example of this.
The Mini Pekka is essentially a faster, cheaper version of its larger counterpart—the Pekka. Although it doesn’t deal as much damage or have as many Hit Points as the bigger Pekka, the Mini Pekka’s lower elixir cost, speed, and versatility allow it to excel in various decks, both offensively and defensively.
Mini Pekka Card Overview Clash Royale
The Mini-Pekka is among the first 42 cards that were available inClash Royaleon launch. It’s a rare card that costs 4 elixirs to deploy. The troop offers excellent utility both on offense and defense because of its fast movement speed and high attack damage. However, the attack speed of the Mini Pekka isn’t as high as other mini-tanks.
Because of its low-elixir cost and massive DPS, Mini Pekka is best used on defense to take outbeatdown win conditions.Against a lone Golem, the Mini Pekka can prevent the Golem from reaching your tower if you deploy it on the bridge. You won’t even have to worry about the death damage as the Mini Pekka will take out the Golemites before they get on your tower.
Mini Pekka can one-shotsupport troops like Musketeer, Electro Wizard, Wizard, Mother Witch, or Magic Archer making it a great choice on defense. The troop can survive most Spells which means the opponent will not be able to take it out when you use it on your side of the field.
In lower Arenas, many players use Mini Pekka on offense. While, in theory, getting a Mini Pekka on the opponent’s tower can win you the match easily, it’s pretty difficult because of how easy it is to distract the card.
Mini Pekka currently doesn’thave a Card Evolution. However, in specific events, players can play with aSuper version of the Mini Pekka.
How to Counter Mini Pekka in Clash Royale
Despite its staggering DPS, Mini Pekka isn’t that hard to counter for an experiencedClash Royaleplayer. Its health pool, at least compared to other mini-tanks like Knight of Valkyrie, isn’t that high. Mini Pekka can be distracted and eliminated easily with cheap support troops like Skeletons, Guards, Archers, or even Goblins for a positive elixir trade.
Spear Goblins are also an excellent counterto the Mini Pekka when you place it in the center of the arena, staggered a bit towards the opposite lane. Skeleton Army and Goblin Gang, along with flying swarms such as Minions, Bats, or Minion Horde, are excellent counters to the card.
Mini Pekka can’t target air troops.
Other more expensive swarms, such as Barbarians, Rascals, or Royal Recruits, can also effectively stop a Mini Pekka. However, since these cards cost more elixir to deploy compared to the Mini Pekka, using them on defense isn’t really worth it.

The first deck in our spotlight is a straightforward Giant Beatdown deck withthe new Evo Lumberjackthrown in. Mini Pekka in this deck pairs perfectly with the Heal Spirit both on offense and defense. The Heal Spirit jumps on the Skeletons or Goblins that the opponent uses to counter your Mini Pekka, and it gets healed to full.
Archer Queen
This deck is a variation of theclassic Hog EQ cycle, where you’re essentially using the Mini Pekka instead of the Skeleton Giant. The Mini Pekka’s lower elixir cost allows you to cycle it faster in both offense and defense. It also serves as a secondary way to put pressure on the enemy tower.
Graveyard
While Giant Graveyard decks aren’t as popular in the current meta, this particular deck can still push you toClash Royale’s Ultimate Championif you play it smart. The Mini Pekka serves as a key piece on offense in this deck, and you can also use it to tank for the Graveyard in certain situations.
