Days Gonehas never been a monthly free PS Plus game, but it was featured as part of the PS Plus Collection. For the uninitiated, thePS Plus Collection was a line-up of PS4 gamesthat users could claim for their digital libraries. As long as one claimed the freebies while they were available and has an active PS Plus subscription, they have access to them. Despite this, anyone that has access toDays Gonethrough PS Plus can’t upgrade their version of the game for $9.99. If they want to play the remaster, they will have to fork over $49.99, which is certainly not ideal.

Days Gone Remastered Upgrade Path

This is undoubtedly disappointing news for anyone hoping to check outDays Gone Remastered’s new game modeswithout breaking the bank. It’s likely that there will be some people that already playedDays Goneon PS4 through their PS Plus subscription and would be interested in spending $9.99 for the new modes, but may not be willing to pay $49.99. Those that don’t want to spend $50 should note that it’s highly likely thatDays Gone Remasteredwill one day make its way to the PS Plus Extra catalog, though plans to that effect have not been announced at the time of this writing.

WithDays Gone 2rejected by Sony,Days Gone Remasteredmay be the last new release that the franchise ever sees. Then again, it’s possibleDays Gone Remasteredwill fuel increased interest in the game, and with Bend Studio’s live-service IP canceled, perhaps it may very well be given the green light to move forward with a follow-up. That’s just speculation at this time, though. It’s entirely possible Bend Studio’s next game will be something completely unexpected, so fans should keep that in mind.
