Other changes include balancing to fishing and a boat decay mechanic that allows server owners to set the rate at which boats disappear to stop them from clogging up certain areas.

These include new tool slots and changes to the backpack organization to make it easier for players to manage their equipment. Fans will also find that the audio has been tweaked to provide a more immersive experience. Footsteps in denser areas will be louder when stepping on clutter, and players will hear their character’s teeth chattering if they are exposed to the elements for a long time.
The latest update comes at a crucial time for Bohemia Interactive, astheDayZFrostlineDLC was heavily review bombedon its release. This was primarily seen in protest of the $26.99 price tag for the DLC. Gamers compared the offering to the previousLivoniaexpansion, which offered almost double the terrain at half the cost, causing outrage among the community. This prompted a direct response from Bohemia Interactive’s founder and CEO Marek Španěl, who stated that the average Steam player is only paying roughly 10 cents per hour played.
