To the delight of its playerbase,Disney Dreamlight Valleyhas finally announced its next update. As expected, the Tales of Agrabah Update will include new features, motifs, furniture, and clothing items inspired by the filmAladdin. Not only will the film serve as inspiration for the update, but Aladdin and Princess Jasmine will finally be added toDisney Dreamlight Valley’s character roster.

Items and characters, which are expected fromDisney Dreamlight Valleyupdates, aren’t the only additions in Tales of Agrabah. Players will also receive, of course,a new Star Path and quality of life updates. Tales of Agrabah will have some exciting new gameplay features for players to experiment with when it finally hits the simulation game. In particular,Disney Dreamlight Valley’s new Gem Stall could be a new hit feature for the game.

Aladdin’s Gem Stall is Coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley

This new Gem Stall seems tofunction similar to Goofy’s Stall. These small vendors run by Goofy sell various kinds of seed for Star Coins. As suggested by its name, the Gem Stall will offer gemstones to players rather than seeds. However, it seems that Aladdin will be the character running this new Gem Stall for players, explaining its additions in the Tales of Agrabah update specifically. Per the announcement of the stall onDisney Dreamlight Valley’s X account, players can “purchase a daily rotation of dazzling gemstones” from the new vendor.

A Gem Stall could be revolutionaryforDisney Dreamlight Valleyplayerswho aren’t the biggest fans of mining or who don’t have the largest stockpile of gems. Considering the many uses for Gems, certain items could possibly now be easier to craft depending on which gemstones are available at the stall.

However, Aladdin’s Gem Stall cannot be removed from the new Aladdin realm into other base game worlds or DLC exclusive areas. Though not all fans are as nitpicky about decorating their version of the Valley, Gameloft and Disney are well aware that decorating is a player favorite pastime, asDisney Dreamlight Valleyexpanded its decorating capabilitieswith Floating Islands in the game’s previous Sew Delightful update. Making Aladdin’s Gem Stall immovable isn’t the only oversight Gameloft and Disney have encountered with the new item. In fact, it’s a bit surprising that this Gem Stall is being added toDisney Dreamlight Valleyalongside Aladdin and Jasmine rather than another iconic Disney princess.

Another Disney Princess Has Ties to the Mines

While gemstones certainly have their ties toAladdin, the seven dwarfs ofSnow Whitefameare literal miners. Aladdin can certainly wish for gemstones for his Stall from Genie, but Grumpy, Snoozy, Doc, and co. could literally mine for gems for this new Stall.

Currently, there seem to be no plans to add Snow White or her friends toDisney Dreamlight Valley. Players were quick to guess that Aladdin and Jasmine were headed to the hit simulation game oncetheDisney Dreamlight Valleybase game roadmap for 2025was released last November. While other characters from early in Disney’s filmography have been teased, characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ first feature have not.

Player reception of the Gem Stall is already positive despite the Tales of Agrabah update not hitting the game till February 26. This positive response solidifies that Gameloft’s choice toadd the Stall alongside Aladdin and Jasminewas ultimately the best move, but adding the Gem Stall toDisney Dreamlight Valleyin a Snow White update would have been an Occam’s razor situation.
