Yellow Brick Games also spelled out several features, including gear customization, a shifting day-night cycle, a crafting setup, and much more, all lined up to helpEternal Strandshave a strong launch.
Now,Eternal Strandshas dropped the 2025 roadmap, and the first major update, arriving in March, is tackling movement tweaks players have been clamoring for. Fans called out Brynne’s slippery controls, and while theEternal Strands' physics-heavy gameplaystill shapes her acceleration, deceleration, and responsiveness, Yellow Brick Games is aiming to improve things. Post-update, Brynne will reach her target speed and come to a stop more quickly, reducing the “skating” effect. Also, direction shifts will feel more responsive, making movement more intuitive without compromising the game’s physics-driven design.
Eternal Strands 2025 Roadmap
Eternal Strands' combatis getting a boost as well. Enemies will react more quickly and noticeably to hits, plus there’s a new directional hit reaction system for more realistic feedback. Some weapons, like the Two-Handed Blade and Sword & Shield, are receiving speed and consistency tweaks to make them more effective in combat. Players will also notice stronger impact VFX, added controller vibration, and a change in the death penalty, no more losing loot from accidental falls, which should make those risky climbs and jumps feel less punishing.
Eternal Strandswill also drop a free DLC update in Spring 2025, created in partnership with concept artist Yusuke Mogi. This update will introduce a fresh armor set, weapon skins, a new map, and even an additional magic power. Plus, players will be able to dye their armor and weapons, check out Oria’s tips and tricks, and enjoy a bunch of bug fixes. And looking ahead to Summer 2025, there’s more content in the works, including a mysterious collaboration with Grasshopper Manufacture.
