The game’s poor performance could spell trouble for any future partnerships between the two companies, but it shouldn’t. There are still plenty of great franchises that could fit perfectly into the LEGO mold.
Sony Franchises That Would Be Perfect For the LEGO Treatment
Uncharted
Protagonist Nathan Drake is a highly skilled treasure hunter and thief who serves as Sony’s own version of Indiana Jones. Despite the Indy influence,Unchartedholds its own strong identitythat has made it a successful franchise. So far, there have been five centralUnchartedgames released for Sony’s various consoles, and their blend of fun-loving action adventure storytelling and third-person shooter mechanics could make it a shoo-in for a LEGO series. Nathan’s signature witty humor and ability to get himself into some outrageous situations would fit right in the world of LEGO.
Also, since LEGO already hasLEGO Indiana Joneson its games roster, Indy’s story could serve as a blueprint for building anUnchartedspin-off.
God of War
Over the years,God of Warhas maintained its presence as one of Sony’s most prized franchises. Kratos has seen some immense growth since the first game hit the scene in 2005, and the impressive amount of lore and characters to play around with would make a LEGO version of the story a lot of fun. Whether it’s the wise-cracking Mimir from the Norse saga or the powerful Greek god Zeus,a LEGOGod of Wargamecould bring both realms together in a wacky story filled with Ancient gods and goofy humor.

Jak and Daxter
This is a franchise that has been lying dormant for a long time. Although many fans of the franchise would rather see a full-blown sequel or reboot,Jak and Daxtercould offer a lot of fun design opportunities when it comes to the game’s world-building. With Jak being a silent protagonist, at least in the first game, it may be trickier to justify him as a lead in a LEGO project, but the jabbering ways of Daxter could help even out the silence, just as he does in the first entry.Jak and Daxter’s legacymay not be as prevalent as the other franchises on the list, but it still remains a beloved series.

Ratchet & Clank
This dynamic duo remains one of Sony’s most beloved mascots, and its colorful, action-packed world could bring something truly special to a LEGO title.TheRatchet & Clankfranchiseboasts a long list of mainline games and spin-offs, which gives LEGO a deep well of source material to pull from.
LEGO Horizon Adventuresmay have missed the mark, but it was a compelling way to make a Sony franchise feel fresh. Not every franchise can translate well into the LEGO world, andHorizonmay have ultimately been too serious to properly work. However, there are still plenty of Sony properties deserving of the LEGO badge of honor.
