Its no secret thatOne Pieceis one of the biggest franchises in Japanese pop culture, both in Japan and internationally. With fans all around the world, it comes as no surprise thatOne Pieceis starting to have global events beyond just those that are in Japan. This year, for the first time, there is going to be aOne PieceDay celebration in America, which will be totallyaccessible for fans who speak English. This is a huge deal in the anime world; an event outside of Japan, in English, that is dedicated to not all Japanese pop culture in general, but one specific franchise.
One PieceDay will be held in Dallas, Texas next weekend, on March 8th and 9th, 2025. The event will befocused primarily on theOne PieceCard Game, but will have other events related to the anime and manga as part of the celebrations as well. These include a concert, live talks from the voice cast, anime screenings, a toy exhibition, and more. ForOne Piecefans in North America, this is going to be a huge opportunity they have never experienced before.

What You Need to Know
Shun Ogawa, the producer of the English version of theOne PieceCard Game, will be a special guest at the event. Additionally, the Information Channel Commentator Gavin will be attending, with the chance to play the game against him. The ONE PIECE DAY Dallas -Card Game Celebration- will host the first tournament of 2025 for thecard game in the world, kicking off this year’s tournament season. Even if you are not competing in the big tournament, there are side events for card game players to participate in, where you can earn points to exchange for real prizes at the event.

The game has beengaining popularity around the worldin the past few years, and has grown big enough that international fans are competing in world competitions like this one.

Everything Else at the Celebration
Beyond theOne PieceCard Game, theOne PieceDay celebration event will also host an exhibit hall with events and displays for all fans of the franchise. This will include a main stage, which will have a special concert performed by Hiroshi Kitadani and Maki Otsuki. Kitadani is the original singer ofthe firstOne Piecetheme song"We Are!", along with others like “We Go!”, the theme for the Fish-Man Island Arc. Otsuki is the singer of the first ending song fromOne Piece, “Memories,” and has also performed a cover of “We Go!” recently.
Select episodes of theOne Pieceanime will also be screened on the main stage, followed by talks with voice actors Brina Palencia (Tony Tony Chopper) on Saturday and Jason Leibrecht (Rob Lucci) on Sunday. Ryuta Koike, the animation producer, along with an unnamed “special guest” will also be in attendance. The exhibition hall will also feature an exhibit ofOne Piecetoys you can walk through, a gallery of illustrations from the card game and aseparate gallery for the manga, and a"ONE PIECEMANGA JOURNEY Reading Corner." Saturday will also host aOne Piece-themed drone show, as long as the weather is reasonable.
The exhibit hall will be held in the Dallas Fair Park Centennial Hall, and the tournament hall in the Dallas Fair Park Automobile Building. If you are not able to make it in person, theofficial websitehas links to live video streams that will be set up in both the exhibition hall and the tournament hall, so you can tune in from home and still enjoy watching the events as they unfold.
