Summary
AFallout 3player online has shared their surprise raider encounter, after encountering an enemy wielding a weapon they should not have had access to. This interesting raider confrontation initially spelled bad news for thisFallout 3player.
The sandbox ofFallout 3has always been hailed as one of the game’s best features. In fact, this element has consistently been praised as a high point in Bethesda games in general. The sandbox creates what feels like a living, breathing world, where anything can happen at any time. This makes for natural moments that are unique to each player, giving players a reason to revisitFallout 3over 16 years after its initial release. Just recently, anotherFallout 3player made a strange discovery at the Super Duper Mart, showing how players continue to experience new things in the classic RPG.
Redditor XumetaXD shared what they thought was aFallout 3raiderwielding an Alien Blaster, which in itself would have been an extremely rare occurrence. After swiftly dying to the enemy, the player was able to reload and take them out, finding out that the weapon the raider was holding was actually the Firelance. This is a rare, more powerful variant of the Alien Blaster, which is usually obtained by the UFO debris random encounter.
Fallout 3 Player Encounters Raider Wielding the Firelance
ThisFallout 3random encounteris extremely rare, and most players will only encounter it in the latter stages of the game. However, as some players in the thread pointed out, there is a small chance it can occur at the Super-Duper Mart. In this case, that’s exactly what has happened, with the nearby raider NPC picking it up and using it against the player at Level 5. While one user pointed out that XumetaXD can now “enjoy the gun,” they revealed that they still have to find the rare ammo for the Firelance, meaning their early-game discovery of the weapon may not be as useful as it appears on the surface.
Later this year, it will be a decade since the last mainline game in theFalloutseries. Considering its ongoing success, it’s a surprise that Bethesda has waited this long, even with its packed development schedule. At the moment, the studio is hard at work on thedevelopment ofThe Elder Scrolls 6, which makes any potentialFallout 5still years away if nothing changes at Bethesda.
