AFalloutfan has shared an intriguing theory they believe may come to fruition during season 2 of Amazon Prime’s award-winning adaptation, connecting The Ghoul’s wife to aFallout: New Vegascharacter.New Vegasis the 2010 spin-off action RPG from the mainFalloutgame franchise, set in the Mojave Desert 204 years after the nuclear war, and season 2 of the live-action series is expected to include some iconic locations from the game, including Rita’s Café and the Atomic Wrangler.

Goggins’ portrayal of The Ghoul also paved the way for Bethesda’s addition of playable Ghouls in the latest game entry, andFallout 76gamers are expecting great things from the season 20 updatewhen it releases in March 2025.
Fallout Fan Believes The Ghoul’s Wife Barb Could Return as New Vegas’ Jane in Season 2
Posted on Reddit by YourFallout76trader, an image of Jane, the Securitron fromFallout: New Vegas’ Lucky 38 Penthouse, and The Ghoul’s wife, Barb Howard, from the Amazon series, was shared on the show’s subreddit. Since New Vegas will be a key location during season 2 of the series, the Redditor thought Barb might return as the “Keeper of the Snow Globe collection,” bearing in mind Barb’s whereabouts in season 1’s present day is unknown. Not to be confused withFallout’s more popular Mister Handy robot line, Jane is a PDQ-88b Mk 1 Securitron and one of Mr. House’s “entertainers” inNew Vegas, and since season 2 may explore The Ghoul’s discovery of Barb’s whereabouts, this theory seems plausible.
Jane joins some of thebest robots in theFalloutfranchise, and other fans populating the subreddit thread thought The Ghoul and Barb’s daughter in the show, Janey, could be a subtle hint. Others noticed the similar facial shape and hairstyle between Jane and Barb, but most questioned how Barb would come into contact with Mr. House in the show and the notable difference between Jane and Barb’s voices. However, fans will also remember that Mr. House received a small cameo during the season 1 finale, possibly setting his stage and story for season 2.
Despite Amazon keeping plot details from the successor run under lock and key, fans can expect to pick up after season 1’s climactic finale that teed up Hank MacLean (MacLachlan) heading for Sin City. Additionally, viewers can expect to see Lucy (Purnell) and The Ghoul (Goggins) continue their search for more Vault-Tec members together, andGoggins previously shared the first image of The Ghoul fromFalloutseason 2, showing the actor undergoing the extensive make-up and prosthetics routine needed to transform. Furthermore, viewers will see Macaulay Culkin join the season 2 cast list in a currently undisclosed role, but teased to be a “crazy genius-type character.”
Falloutseason 2 currently has no release date, but is predicted to arrive early-to-mid 2026.
