Often taking place before a major content patch, the Moogle Treasure Trove givesFinal Fantasy 14players an easy way to earn rewards that are usually difficult to obtain without help. By completing activities, such as dungeons, alliance raids, and Ocean Fishing, players will earn Irregular Tomestones that can be offered to Itinerant Moogle NPCs found in Ul’dah, Gridania, and Limsa Lominsa in exchange for rare and exclusive rewards. Inthe previous Moogle Treasure Trove eventfrom October to November 2024, The Hunt for Goetia allowed players to get the exclusive Donut Earring as a glamour item.
Weeks beforethe launch of Patch 7.2 in late March,Final Fantasy 14will host another Moogle Treasure Trove event to tide players over. The Hunt For Phantasmagoria will begin on Wednesday, February 26, and conclude before the launch of Patch 7.2 in late March. Given that the previous Moogle Treasure Trove event lasted four weeks, the upcoming Hunt for Phantasmagoria should last for a similar timeframe. Ergo, March 25 will likely be when Patch 7.2 goes live, giving players just under a month to earn cosmetic rewards.
Final Fantasy 14 Announces Moogle Treasure Trove Starting February 26
While the Moogle Treasure Trove is active,Final Fantasy 14players will earn Irregular Tomestones of Phantasmagoria for completing entries in the Mogpendium, including Weekly Objectives and MiniMog Challenges that reset once per week. The Ultimog Challenge can only be completed once per event but offers the biggest payout of Irregular Tomestones. The Mogpendium challenges will be made public once the Moogle Treasure Trove goes live.
The Paissa Earring is the most expensive rewardFinal Fantasy 14players can get this time, which costs 100 Irregular Tomestones of Phantasmagoria. Hard-to-obtain mounts like the Shadow Gwiber and Legendary Kamuy, alongside the Queen’s Guard Barding for chocobos, will also be easier to get during the Moogle Treasure Trove. For the first timesince the 2021 Hunt For Lore event, the Inferno Jacket glamour item will be available for 50 Irregular Tomestones.
