In its announcement, 11 Bit Studios also shed light on some interesting details regarding the future ofFrostpunk 2. About the impending major content drop, it shared that the update will “adjust” the city’s management as an “homage” to the order brought about by the first New Londoners. Moving on, the post noted that the first DLC would let the player learn more about the city residents in “more ways than one.” Importantly, Spring 2025 was highlighted as a period that would bring “significant developments” forFrostpunk 2players, with chances of something arriving in the game specifically on April 24, the seventh anniversary of 2018’sFrostpunk.
WhileFrostpunk 2making its entire budget back within three days of launch marked a high, it was soonfollowed by a low for 11 Bit Studios, which involved the scrapping of a different in-development game.
