Final Fantasyis one of the most popular video game series of all time that fans can’t get enough of. Despite the franchise going through a bit of an identity crisis, most fans agree that both modern and classicFinal Fantasygames are worth checking out.

A huge part of what makes everyFinal Fantasygame special is the humor that fans can enjoy as they go through an epic adventure. This extends to combat as well, with some abilities being so over-the-top and ridiculous that fans can’t help but chuckle as they pull out these moves.

The Highwind in Final Fantasy 7

Despite Cid’s abusive attitude, fans can’t deny thatthis Dragoon is one of the most powerful party membersin the game that fans will love to use. This is especially true once players unlock his final Limit Break.

The fact that Cid can just summon the Highwind and use homing missiles to take out his enemies is a funny sight. By this logic, he should be able to trivialize any enemy encounter inFinal Fantasy 7by programming the Highwind to blast the foes standing in the party’s way.

As frustrating as this may be, fans can’t help but chuckle when they see this happen in less stressful encounters. It adds some unique flavor to the excellent combat ofFinal Fantasy 6where players can mix-and-match the abilities of different party members to decimate their foes.

Whilethe Limit Breaks inFinal Fantasygamesare meant to be over-the-top, there are times when these attacks are downright ridiculous. Such is the case with Barret’s Satellite Beam, which has some hilarious implications.

The fact that a loud-mouthed eco-terrorist somehow has the resources to create a weapon orbiting in space that can be used whenever his rage boils over never ceases to be hilarious. While veterans may stick to Ungarmax to maximize their damage at higher levels, Satellite Beam is still hilarious to pull off because of how ridiculous this attack is.

Final Fantasy 10boasts the best combat system in the series with its fair share of odd abilities that players can use. This includes Bribe, a command that lets players decide the amount of gil they can give to their enemies to convince them to leave.

The fact thatfearsome monsterssomehow have a use for gil is a hilarious implication. If players give them enough money, then they may be convinced to hand over a rare item to the party as they leave the battlefield.

Angelo is one of the cutest dogs in theFinal Fantasyseries, so to see Rinoa use him for offensive abilities with her Limit Break is oddly hilarious. Out of all these attacks, Angelo Cannon is easily the funniest one of the lot.

Watching Rinoa mount Angelo like a missile on her arm before blasting him at her foes makes for a hilarious sight. While players will unlocktougher Limit Breaks for Rinoawith the Pet Pals books, there’s something about Angelo Cannon that will make fans cheer in glee as they get lucky enough to see this ludicrous animation again.

Blue Mages have a poor reputation inFinal Fantasy, and Quina is no exception. However, players will keep this odd character in their party just to utilize a unique skill exclusive to Quina that lets her learn her enemy’s abilities.

To learn certain Blue Magic, players must reduce an enemy’s health to a certain level before Quina straight up devours this enemy in battle. It’s a ridiculous yet funny move that becomes even funnier whenQuina activates her Tranceand cooks an enemy before swallowing them whole.

Bribe in Final Fantasy 10

Gilgamesh is one of the most iconic recurring figures inFinal Fantasy, with his beloved appearance in the fifth mainline entry cementing his legendary position. Despite being a fearsome foe, Gilgamesh can seem like a complete goofball at times as he charms players with his heroic attitude.

Even after transforming to initiate the hardest fight against this recurring foe, he saves the best laugh for last as he builds up the power of Excalibur throughout the battle. Players brace themselves for the worst, only for Gilgamesh to whip out Excalipoor for a whopping 1 damage that makes for such a hilarious swerve that fans may stop inputting commands as the giggles overwhelm them.
