Genshin Impact Leak Teases Auto Chess Game Mode
A new update shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker HomDGCat is teasing anAuto Chess mode coming toGenshin Impact. According to the leak, the game mode will feature both PvP and PvE modes with a mix of “exploration” and “combat” gameplay. Players will acquire equipment andArtifacts within theGenshin Impactgame modeto power up their characters, also being able to sell equipment to gain currency for improving a character’s Talents. The post does not share a specific release date forGenshin Impact’s Auto Chess mode, but does confirm it will be sometime after Version 5.6.
AGenshin ImpactAuto Chess mode will come as the RPG’s newest adaptation of popular game formats. HoYoverse has often taken inspiration from popular online games for its new mini-games, likeWindtrace asGenshin Impact’s version ofProp Hunt. Some of its new mini-games have become so popular among fans that the developer has even permanently added them to the game, making the fan-favorite rhythm mini-game a permanent fixture. The leak does not clarify whetherGenshin Impact’s Auto Chess will be event-exclusive or a permanent game mode.
WhileGenshin Impact’s Auto Chess is rumored to come later, the RPG looks to have plenty on the way with the upcoming Version 5.5. The next update will introduce two new characters to the game’s roster, withVaresa as a new five-star characterand Iansan as a four-star unit. The patch will also debut the next expansion to Natlan’s map, bringing in the Great Volcano of Tollan as the newest addition to the sixth playable region.
