Summary
A recentGenshin Impactleak reveals that Skirk will use a heavily modified version of the Medium Female model, implying that her Fontaine appearance may not be her final look. As a disciple of Surtalogi, and someone closely tied to the powers of the Abyss, it’s safe to say that Skirk is one of the most anticipated characters inGenshin Impact. While she was teased by Tartaglia since Version 1.1, players got to meet Skirk in the flesh during the final Act of Fontaine.
While not much is known about her ability kit,Skirk inGenshin Impactis all but confirmed to be a Cryo character – as implied by the recent Artifact Set from Version 5.5. Given that she is described as a mysterious swordswoman, Skirk will likely end up a Cryo Sword or Cryo Claymore in her playable debut. Furthermore,Genshin Impactplayers should expect Skirk to have a special type of Elemental Energy, much like Mavuika makes use of her Fighting Spirit.
Her exact release date is unknown, but many signs point towards Skirk debuting in Version 5.7 – most likely with the launch of Mare Jivari, the finalNatlan map expansion inGenshin Impactbefore Snezhnaya.According to DK2, one of the most reliable voices left in theGenshin Impactcommunity, Skirk’s playable model will be slightly adjusted from the Medium Female template. Given that the leak compares the extent of the changes to Varesa and Iansan, “slightly adjusted” may be an underestimation.
Skirk May Be Getting a Slight Makeover in Genshin Impact
Though it’s fair to say that Skirk’s design has been finalized by Version 4.2, this wouldn’t be the first time the developers gave aGenshin Impactcharacter a makeover before their playable debut. Baizhu’s model famously went through a glow-up while keeping the same design, and it seems that this will be the case with Skirk as well. Another piece of evidence that supports this leak is Skirk’s silhouette from the list ofupcomingGenshin Impactcharacters. Notably, the body shape appears to be different from her current model.
Given how positively Varesa and Iansan were received by theGenshin Impactcommunity, this may embolden HoYoverse to make more varied models across the board. With Version 5.5 introducing the two Collective of Plenty characters, only four remain unrevealed from the upcoming roadmap: Ifa, Dahlia, Effie, and Skirk.Ifa inGenshin Impactwill be the final character from Natlan to join the cast before Version 6.0. Even though Ifa will draw plenty of interest, it’s clear that Skirk will define the second half of Natlan.
