Marketing for Season 2 ofThe Last of Ushas already raised questions among fans over how the show plans to tackle thecomplicated timeline of the second game. Similar to the first season,The Last of UsSeason 2 is expected to contain deviations from the source material, along with some additional content that was cut from the game, which will help to keep things surprising for those familiar with its story. Onedeviation involving the character of Abbyis already causing division among fans and the justification from showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann suggests that Season 2 will contain less “moment to moment” action. Now that the series has an official release date, audiences won’t have to wait long to find out what that looks like.
The Last of UsSeason 2 will be released on April 13 on Max.
