AHonkai: Star Railleak revealed the NPC model of Cerces, one of Amphoreus' Titans.Honkai: Star Rail’s fourth major planet is heavily inspired by Greek mythology, as its citizens worship 12 Titans and also live among god-like heroes known as the Chrysos Heirs.
According toHonkai: Star Raillore, the Titans of Amphoreus were divine beings born from Coreflames, which were sent down by the gods. They were also responsible for creating the heavens, the earth, and mortals, and were even said to have lived among people at one point.Honkai: Star Rail’s current story arc follows Amphoreus' Chrysos Heirs, who are prophesied to take up the fallen Titans' Coreflames to save the planet from ruin.
Honkai: Star Railhas already established that players can interact and fight the Titans during this new adventure, including a fierce boss battle with Nikador, the Strife Titan. A newleak from Astute teased the NPC model of Cerces, also known as the Reason Titan, who’s rumored to appear in a future update. The photo shows a woman with long brown hair and a headpiece made from branches, who is believed to be the human form of the Titan.
Who Is Cerces in Honkai: Star Rail?
Cerces is said to have already been deceased before the events ofHonkai: Star Rail, and her Coreflame is being kept in the Grove of Epiphany. The Titan is responsible for awakening enlightenment within humans, allowing them to reflect deeply to gain knowledge. It’s also been teased thatupcomingHonkai: Star Railcharacter Anaxa, a 5-star Wind-type Erudition character coming out in Version 3.2, will accept the challenge of wielding Cerces' Coreflame, which could be the focal point of a future chapter.
Meanwhile, manyHonkai: Star Railfans were slightly disappointed that Cerces is rumored to only be an NPC because of her design. It’s definitely not uncommon for HoYoverse to introduce NPCs with detailed designs in its games, as they’re often placed in important positions in the story, just likeHonkai: Star Rail’s Cocolia in the Belobog chapter.
Despite requests to make Cerces playable,Honkai: Star Railhasn’t established if Titans will become banner characters during the Amphoreus arc. It was already teased that the Chrysos Heirs will populateHonkai: Star Rail’s future banners, likely until the end of the arc in Version 3.7. Of course, the game still has a chance to surprise fans with unique characters based on the Titans' human forms.
