Horrified: Dungeons and Dragons Confirmed Monsters
As was the case with the past editions of Ravensburger’s board game, the main goal ofHorrified: Dungeons and Dragonswill be to defeat a certain number of monsters within a set number of turns—before they wreak too much carnage by killing villagers. Each turn begins with a hero phase, during which players can move around the board, collect and use items, and leverage their special abilities, among other activities. Then comes the monster phase, which starts with drawing a monster card that changes board conditions in a variety of ways. Every monstrosity has its own mini-quest that needs to be completed before players can eliminate it. Monster behavior varies by creature, with some cards exerting greater board pressure than others. Lore-wise, the Red Dragon is the biggest threat out of all theDungeons and Dragonsmonstersthat have so far been confirmed for the board game.
Horrified: Dungeons and Dragonsis still waiting for a concrete release date, with Ravensburger so far only stating that it’s targeting a summer 2025 launch. The tabletop game will be designed by Peter Lee, who’s also credited with authoring the original, 2019 iteration ofHorrified. The game’sDungeons and Dragons-themed edition is planned to retail for $29.99, and will be available for purchase internationally.
