AsHouse of the Dragonfans begin to get restless about when they will get to see season three of the HBO show, some promising updates have now swarmed Westeros in new leaked set photos through drone footage, as well as familiar locations that have appeared in bothGame of Thronesand the HBO series, not to mention an apparent glimpse ofLord Corlys Velaryon’s iconic ship, Sea Snake, which he later renamed to “The Queen Who Never Was” in honor of his late wife.

Set Photos for House of the Dragon Season 3 Revealed

Production onHouse of the DragonSeason 3is getting that little bit closer now according to recent drone images taken from the show’s set. Even though much of season 3’s plot has been kept well and truly under wraps, the leaked photos offer fans some great updates on where development is currently at and also the hopes that a release window for the anticipated episodes could follow shortly. As shared by @UnBoxPHD on X/Twitter,the images show theHouse of the DragonSeason 3 set under construction, in what seems to be King’s Landing Red Keep and what looks to be the Weirwood Tree in the courtyard.The set photos suggest that these locations will continue to be a focus when season 3 returns, while also revealing new mysterious areas that fans will get to witness.

Another shot of theHouse of the Dragonset pans across to a huge boat being built, which, by the looks of it, seems to be Corlys Velaryon’s ship ‘The Queen Who Never Was’.With construction well and truly underway now, these leaked images mirror showrunner’s Ryan Condal comment last year that stated season 3’s production would start in the “first quarter of 2025.“Season 3 ofHouse of the Dragonis also reportedly set to begin with the ‘Battle of the Gullet,’ one of the bloodiest sea battles in Westeros history during the Dance of the Dragons.

If production has indeed commenced forHouse of the Dragonseason 3, this could mean that filming may wrap up around September this year with a summer 2026 release. Thankfully,Game of Thronesfans will haveA Knight of the Seven Kingdomsto get stuck into before that though, as the spin-off aims to be released sometime in late 2025.
