Once you reach the bottom of the backyard, you’ll find a tunnel leading into the darkness where you can’t use your jetpack, dynamite, drill, or even the lamp. As you explore further, you’ll find giant moles roaming large halls. They will chase you if they see you, but they’re fairly slow, allowing the player to escape further into the tunnels without much difficulty. In the final chamber, the player will find a chest that ends up being empty. Here, they get surrounded by the giant moles that were unable to catch them before, and the game ends.

A cutscene plays after in which the truck comes back into town, a person comes out, adds a tally to their notebook, and puts up the flier for a $10,000 house once more. The realtor is obviously in on the secret, maybe even owning the big moles himself. When the truck drives away, the scene reveals that the number plate on the truck has the picture of a mole on it as well, giving further credence to this theory. That said, the purpose of feeding people to the moles andthe secret behind their existenceisn’t explained.
