Monster Hunter Wildsmay be the mostopen that aMonster Huntergamehas been, but there’s still a straightforward, linear storyline to follow with plenty of cutscenes and characters to hear from. The game’s plot is told throughoutsix chapters, each offering around two to three sub-missions.

Chapters 1 through 3 ofMonster Hunter Wildsmake up most of the game’s “main” story, taking most players around 10-15 hours to see through, depending on whether you take it slowly or not.Credits will roll once you get to the end of Chapter 3, but that’s not the end of the game. Boot your file back up, and there will be even more story content to follow.Going through Chapters 4-6 will take another 10-15 hours or so, which will introduce players toHigh-Rankenvironments and monsters.
