How To Start The White Roebuck Task
After completing the questSpeak of the Devil, players will find themselves inDevil’s Denand canfast-travel back to Suchdolif they want to start this task right away. Make your way to the small castle north of Suchdol, the same place where you metMargrave Jobst of Luxembourgin the previous main quest. Here, you can findHunter Dobrosh Peckernear the entrance or butchering a deer to the left of the smithy.
Ask the hunter what is going on in the forest, and he will tell you aboutpoachers who killed a rare white roebuck. There is a bounty on the poachers, and the hunter asks for your help tracking them down and dealing with them. He also requests that youbring him the hide along with squirrel tails, each of which the poachers carry one of.
Finding The Poachers In The White Roebuck Task
Head over to the location of theknacker, who is usually working at the cemetery. Go to the marker and talk to Wolfram, then ask him what he knows about the poachers’ whereabouts. He will be hesitant to give you a solid answer, but you can persuade him by eitherpaying 200 Groschen orpassing one of three Speech checks. Putting in a good word for him with the huntsman is usually the most likely to succeed. After providing information about the poachers, he will tell you that he will pay you more if you bring the white hide to him instead of the hunter.
After this conversation, open your map and head to the search zone marked on it. Be on the lookout while riding, as bandits may be lurking near the forest entrances, waiting to ambush and loot unsuspecting travelers. There is anenemy camp to the left of the markerin the middle of the search zone. Head there, andyou will find three poachersroaming around the camp. Now there are a couple of ways you can fight these poachers.
The poachers are not well-equipped, butit’s still not recommended to take on all three at once, as getting hit from the side can lead to consecutive attacks until you die. Luckily, none of the poachers use ranged weapons, so a three-versus-one fight isn’t entirely impossible—but it’s still tough to pull off. An easy way to handle them is towait until nighttime and stealth kill themone by one. If you manage to sneak into their camp,you may alsopoison their foodwith a Lullaby Potion, making them fall asleep faster and leaving them vulnerable.
If you don’t want to wait until night, try luring one poacher away from the camp and dealing with him first to prevent backup. Then, head to the camp, stealth kill another, and take on the last one in a one-on-one fight. If you’velearned Masterful Strikes, the fight should not pose any trouble.
Looting the White Buck Hide In The White Roebuck In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Every poacher will have a poacher’s squirrel tail on them, sobe sure to loot all threebefore moving on to the next step. One of the poachers also possessesMach’s Chest Key, so make sure to take that as well.
With the tails in your possession,head over to the unfinished houseto find a storage box with amedium lockpickingrequirement. However, you may simply open it with the key. Inside the chest, you will find:
The Poacher’s map can help you find more hunting spots on the map. However, keep in mind that killing any animal will void theLenttrophy/achievement.
Fast travel back to Suchdol, then make your way to the hunter andgive him the tails and the hide to receive 450 Groschen in total. you may also tell the hunter about the knacker who tried to buy the hide from Henry togain a little more reputation. Alternatively, you can bring the hide to Wolfram, who offers a little over 200 Groschen. To gain the most reward from this task, give thehide to the knacker, then go to the hunter andlie about itwhile still claiming the bounty for the poachers. This will earn youa total of 525 Groschen.
