There are lots of weapons to choose from inMonster Hunter Wilds, with a lot of builds that can be done with each one. Every weapon and monster has different stats that play off of each other, leading to a lot of things to consider when making your character or preparing for a particular hunt.

The Training Area is a great place especially early in the game to test out thecombos of different weapons, along with trying out your build against a specific type of enemy to make sure it’s effective instead of learning in the moment against a tough monster. Where To Find The Training Area In Monster Hunter Wilds

The Training Area can only befound in the Windward Plains Base Camp, the first base camp in the game. You can find and access the training area as soon as you’re given the ability to free-roam the camp during thebeginning section of the game. The entrance to the Training Area is found along the northern side of the camp, the far backside from the main entrance to the camp.

The entrance to the Training Area is marked with a red sheet over the wooden pillars with weapons all around the entrance, interact with it to enter.

How To Customize The Training Area In Monster Hunter Wilds

Inside the Training Area will be a Makeshift Camp and The Training Area Meownager. At theMakeshift Camp, you may alter your gear to try out different builds and weapons, letting you try out the basics of every major weapon type in a controlled setting. In the middle of the Training Area is the High Purrformance Barrel Puncher, which is the game’s training Dummy. At the Training Area Meownger, you can alter the stats and mode of the Puncher:

Inside the Training Area, you can also get free ammo to try out with weaponslike Light Bowguns.

All of these are aspects that will be found in monsters deciding how they act and the way they take damage. You canchange the stats of the Puncher whenever you’d like, letting you try out your build against a range of options in this safer environment. If you want to make things a bit more real, you may choose to change the Mode of the Puncher and make it active and attack you, letting you practice dodging, blocking, and even parrying.
