InAvowed,the rarity system for all armor pieces works slightly differently than most modern RPGs. While there are a wide range of quality levels for basic gear, starting fairly early in the game, you will likely focus solely on equipping pieces ofUnique Armor. Once you find a Unique set that fits your playstyle, you will only use the basic armor pieces for crafting materials and money. This does not mean you will not be changing your loadout. Each region features a long list of Unique items, and you are certainly encouraged to experiment. In this guide, we’ll show youwhere to find every Unique armor piece in Dawnshore,Avowed’s first major region.
Arcanist’s Gambeson
Light Armor
Found in a chest in the small house on the southern edge of theYellowband Camp.
You must decide to kill Ygwulf during “An Untimely End.”
Steel Garrote Plate
Heavy Armor
Enter the Ruinous Cavern on the western edge of the outer Paradis wall. Inside the cave, you’ll findNacib, a massive spider/bounty target. In the area where you face Nacib, you’ll find this armor on a dead body.
Wayfarer’s Armor
Purchased from the ParadisMilita HeadquartersMerchant in Northern Paradis for 500 coins.

Arcanist’s Boots
Climb to the very top of theLighthousewest of Claviger’s Landing. Walk around the windows until you find the chest containing the boots.
Blackwing Boots
Purchased fromCutty, the merchant hidden in the alley in the northwest corner of Northern Paradis. Cost: 1,500
Steel Garrote Boots
There is a Xaurip Camp in the southwestern corner of the Overgrown Frontier, on the western side of Dawnshore. Inside the camp, there is a dead body near the western tents that carry these boots.
Wayfarer’s Boots
Head toFellowship Harbor, directly east of Claviger’s Landing. Jump in the water and look for a hole in the retaining wall near the docks. Enter the hidden area and look for a crack in the wall where an explosive barrel is visible. Destroy the barrel to unblock the door to a treasure chamber and find the boots in a chest.
Boots of the Bricklayer
Reward at the very top of thePargrun Cache- found just after breaking through the brick wall.
Arcanist’s Gloves
At the Shrine to Woedica, look for a breakable wood section along the outer eastern wall. Break the wooden section, then climb inside. You’ll find the gloves in a chest.
Blackwing Gloves
Use the wooden scaffolding outside the Aedyran Embassy in Paradis to reach the back, then use the next scaffolding to reach the upper balcony, where you’ll find the gloves in a backpack among several crates.
Steel Garrote Gauntlets
Head to the outer wall at the southeastern corner of Paradis, north of Ondra’s Reach. There, you’ll find a small group of enemies guarding a very small rock cave. Inside, the gloves can be found on a dead member of the Steel Garrote.

The Hands Occult
EnterParadisand turn right immediately after crossing the entrance, exactly where you were killed upon entering the first time. You’ll have to get by some broken crates, then you’ll see a wooden barrier blocking a small alley. Break through, and you’ll find the gloves in a chest.
