InHello Kitty Island Adventure, there are some materials can only be collected when met with the right weather conditions. When you first begin yourIsland Adventureplaythrough, you’ll notice that it doesn’t rain anywhere on Friendship Island. To change the weather, you’ll need to repair weather machines through their respective quest-line. One type of weather-material that you’ll want to collect areRaindrops. As their name indicates, these only appear when it’s raining, so here’s what you’ll need to do to unlock them.
How to Unlock Rain
Where is the Aquafall Machine
To make it rain on Friendship Island, you’ll need to fix theAquafall Machinelocated east ofKelp MazeinRainbow Reef. Before this can happen, you’ll need to have completed several quests andraised friendship with specific characters. Once you get the quest “A Clue On The Shore,” you’ll be on the right track to bringing rain to Friendship Island.
Here are the quests you need to complete to unlock rain:
Once you’ve completed “Island Stone”, you can start the quest “Rain or Shine” to learn how to manually make it rain. You don’t need to do this to collect Raindrops, but if you’re not having any luck with getting rain to trigger in your playthrough,you may want to consider craftingand using a Rain Island Stone.
When it rains, you’ll see a notification at the top of your screen indicatingwhereit’s raining. Rainfall only lasts for 15 minutes in real time. During this, rain-exclusive critters and fish will appear. If you’re not sure when it’s going to rain, you’re able to pause the game and look at the forecast on the left side of the menu.

Not only will rain-exclusive critters/fish appear, but so willRainfall Flowers. These are your keys to gettingRaindrops. However, you’ll need to have theWatering Canitem. The Watering Can crafting plans are received during the “Flower Power” quest, which you get when your friendship level with My Melody islevel 14.
To craft the Watering Can, you need the following:
You may have noticedpurple flower budsgrowing on all the islands. Watering these will net you materials, food, or soundtracks. During rain, you’ll seeblue flower budsknown as Rainfall Flowers. If you use the Watering Can on them,they’ll give youRaindrops.

Fortunately, the Raindrops are only required forone crafting plan, but you’ll need them for the Rain Furniture collection and rain-themed clothing.
