To get the Challenger’s Rod inFisch, head to theIce Fishing Cavein Challenger’s Deep of Mariana’s Veil and purchase it for2,500,000 in-game cash. Since Challenger’s Deep is the second layer of this new underwater region, you’ll first need toupgrade your submarine in the Volcanic Vents(the first volcano layer) to unlock it.
Once you’ve done that, you can reach Challenger’s Deep directly from below Roslit Volcano or go through the Volcanic Vents. To get there from the vents, hop into your watercraft and divenorth of the trench. At the cave’s end (northwest),start descending into the oceanand keep heading in thesame direction (northwest)until you arrive at the top of Challenger’s Deep.
Along the way, you’ll spot plenty of blue leaves and giant ice formations, which can help guide you to your destination. Once at the second trench,equip the Winter’s Cloakor Glimmerfin Suit Lvl 2 if you have one, as the sea cave gets freezing cold and will drain your warmth. After you’re set, head southwest until you find the Ice Fishing Cave. This spot is pretty deep inside Challenger’s Deep, so you’ll need to walk for a while or use a glider to travel faster.

Just a quick heads-up, though—avoid falling into the pond of Challenger’s Deep, or you’ll be killed and willrespawn at your last set location.
