Many of thegame’s best itemsare acquired through the treasure map side quests. This guide will show youhow to find and solve the Ancient Arrowhead treasure map inAvowed, which will earn you theScout’s Reachunique trinket.
TheAncient Arrowheadmap is located very close to the entrance toGalawain’s Tusk. The location is shared by theMater Marebounty you’re able to acquire atSolace Keep.If you collect the bounty flier, you’ll have a quest marker that leads you to the exact destination.
The location you are trying to reach is theWrithing Ruins, just about dead center along the southern edge ofGalawain’s Tusk. The actual location you want is a large beetle’s nest/pit just to the west of the ruins. You’ll find a skeleton on the southwestern edge of the pit that carries the Ancient Arrowhead map on its body.
Once you collect the map from the skeleton, you’ll see the location is somewhere in view of Solace Keep, especially the lava that flows down its southern wall.
Before you head out to solve the Ancient Arrowhead map, verify you have at leastthree lock picks.Merchant’s at the Warden Tower and Solace Keep sell them for cheap if you are out.
How to Solve Treasure Map - Ancient Arrowhead:
The first place you want to visit is theWarden’s RestPOI in The Sallow Steppe region of Galawain’s Tusk. This is a small hut surrounded by dead bodies and skeleton enemies that rise from the ground. The hut itself is unimportant. What you want to do is to head directly east from Warden’s Rest until you reach the edge of the cliff.
If you look north from the cliff’s edge, you’ll see a view of Solace Keep that appears to be pretty close to the treasure map. However, if you look north, you’ll see there’s not much further to travel. This means the treasure must be to the south. If you turn and face south while remaining along the cliff’s edge, you’ll see a rock formation that appears to have a small space between itself and the cliff. This is where you want to go.
As you make your way along the cliff’s edge, stay on the eastern side of the rock formation. As the path narrows, you’ll see a treasure chest with a tell-tale golden glow. Use the three previously mentioned lock picks to open the chest, revealing the Scout’s Reach trinket, along with the following treasure:
