InWWE 2K25and WWE in real life, there are certain taunts and actions that will get a crowd especially fired up for what’s to come next.
For certain members ofthe game’s stacked roster, there is a special taunt they can perform that will signal their intention of ending a match. For these select stars, players will benefit from knowinghow to remove a wrestler’s shoulder straps inWWE 2K25.
How To Pull Straps Off Shoulders in WWE 2K25
At any point in a match, a select number of wrestlers can perform a special taunt that will have them remove the straps of their ring gear from their shoulder. Should the wrestler you are using be wearing a wrestling singlet (a tight one-piece suit with two shoulder straps), then performing the following taunt will have them pull them down and reveal their chest:
Removing straps isn’t exactly one ofWWE 2K25’s exciting new featuresand doesn’t serve any practical purpose, but some wrestlers will use it as a means of signaling “the end” in competition. To add some flare and drama to your match, you can also use this before attempting a match-ending sequence, such as a Super Finisher.
This action can only be performed from a standing position, so don’t expect it to work while climbing a ladder or cage or sitting on the top turnbuckle.
Who Can Remove Their Straps in WWE 2K25?
Removing straps inWWE 2K25is restricted to only those who have the right attire to perform the move. Kurt Angle arguably made this action famous, but there are a number that use it in today’s WWE and some famous names from the past who have done it on occasion. The following wrestlers can use this taunt to change their appearance:
These are just some of the regular roster members available from launch, but there may be othersunlockable from Showcase modeand in thescheduled DLCs. As mentioned, this isn’t anything more than a cosmetic change, but it certainly will evoke some memories of some iconic moments in WWE history, and could make your attempt to break the ring inWWE 2K25look even cooler.
This won’t work for every wrestler with shoulder straps. For example, the likes of Jim Neidhart and Bronson Reed won’t remove their straps. It typically won’t trigger on larger wrestlers.
