The Tomb Directed Mode has finally debuted inBlack Ops 6Season 2 Reloaded, allowing players to earn exclusive rewards while beingguided through the steps of the main Easter Egg quest. The Tomb itself can be quite challenging, especially due to its claustrophobic layout, making preparation essential before facing the undead.
While progressing through Directed Mode, players will encounter a series of cryptic objectives. Early on, they will be tasked withshooting symbols in ascending order, a puzzle that might confuse many on their first attempt. However, with a bit of guidance, this step can be completed without any issues.
How To Break Aetheric Lanterns in The Tombs Until Symbols Are Revealed
Before players can begin shooting the symbols in ascending order, they will first need tobreak Aetheric Lanterns in the Tombsuntil the symbols are revealed. These lanterns will be marked if they spawn within the Tombs and can be identified by their unique purple color.
The trick here is toshoot the lanterns within the Tombs to break them.Once broken, another lantern will ignite in a different location, allowing players to break it again to move it elsewhere. Players must repeat this process until the Aetheric Lanternspawns directly opposite the bull paintingon the northeast side of the Tombs. Doing so will reveal the first set of symbols needed to proceed.
How To Shoot The Symbols In Ascending Order (The Tombs)
The symbols that players need to shoot will be revealed in the bull painting within the Tombs, as mentioned earlier. Here, eight symbols will be displayed, resembling Roman numerals.Each symbol corresponds to a number, and players mustshoot each one in sequential orderto complete this step.

Upon doing so, players will trigger a lockdown sequence, during which they mustdefeat waves of creatures emerging through portalswhile remaining within the Tombs. How To Break Aetheric Lanterns In The Neolithic Catacombs Until Symbols Are Revealed
Now that players have wrapped up the first puzzle, they will need tobreak Aetheric Lanterns to reveal a new set of symbolsin a different location. Just as before, players can locate the lit lanterns around the map, this time shooting them until the lanternmoves just opposite the Crafting Bench in the Neolithic Catacombs.Doing so will reveal another set of symbols, this time at a painting of a man in the same area.
How To Shoot Symbols In Ascending Order (Neolithic Catacombs)
Just as before, players will need toshoot this second set of symbols in a specific orderto complete the next objective. This time, there areten total symbols, and while they still resemble Roman numerals, differentiating the ninth and tenth symbols can be rather tricky.
