Companions are characters that join your party to make the journey of the Living Lands easier inAvowed. Players won’t meet all companions together, as they need to complete certain quests before unlocking them.
There are a total offour companions inAvowed, and you can only choose two to accompany you when exploring. All of them can be found at any camp spot where the Envoy can speak with them or switch companions for the next adventure.
How To Unlock Kai As A Companion In Avowed
Players will meet Kai during theMessage From Afarmain quest inAvowed. Upon using the boat to escape and arriving at Dawnshore’s docks, you are greeted by Kai who suggests traveling together to search for the ambassador.
Kai is a Fighter and can be used as a great tank. He uses a combination of sword and gun attacks that deal heavy fire damage and stun most enemies. Kai can also taunt enemies and help players burn obstacles to discover hidden secrets.
How To Unlock Marius As A Companion In Avowed
The second companion is called Marius, and he’s encountered duringAn Untimely Endmain quest in Dawnshore. After the surprising turn of events, you and Kai head out to search for Marius as he’s the best tracker who can help find the one responsible.
Marius is a Ranger who excels in both ranged and stealth attacks. Marius also uses the magic of plants to slow and root an enemy in its place. He is a great tracker and can help players highlight materials while exploring.
How To Unlock Giatta As A Companion In Avowed
Giatta is not introduced until you reach Emerald Stair, the second region you explore after Dawnshore. Upon entering Fior mes Iverno, the Envoy will be introduced to Giatta. After youhelp her with a couple of tasksinThe Animancy Methodmain quest, she joins the team.
As an Animancer, Giatta is a type of Wizard that specializes in shielding, healing, and buffing the team. Her abilities can help change the tides in any battle, even more so if you level them up. The Animancer can also send a Spectral Jolt to activate Essence Generators, which unlocks new areas to explore.
How To Unlock Yatzli As A Companion In Avowed
Although players meet Yatzli before Giatta once they arrive in Emerald Stair, it won’t be until much later that she joins the team. Yatzli joins the Envoy as a companion during theFace Your Fearsmain quest in Thirdborn, Shatterscarp.
As a Wizard, Yatzli has many tricks up her sleeve including powerful attacks that will freeze and stun enemies. She can also summon an explosive giant magic ball that will destroy a large group of enemies all at once. Players can also benefit from Yatzli while exploring as she can dispel illusions byuncovering buried chestsor revealing a hidden path.
