In an interview withVideoGamer,Path to Menzobarranzanlead writer Thomas Loughlin confirmed that the upcomingBaldur’s Gate 3modhas plans to add “around six-to-eight completely unique and original custom companions,” each one with their own voice actor. He described this decision as “obvious” when creating a custom campaign, stating, “There are mods that just add companions, but custom companions with companions? Yeah, this is the first one.” They aren’t just humanoids, either. “We have a version of Scratch… we’ve got a couple…He [mod developer Lotrich] prefers one, I prefer another one, but they’re pretty cool.” Loughlin claimed.
