The team behind the action-adventure game has continued to release steady updates to improve performance and fix any problems players may be having, and the third major patch is now live across all systems.

Bethesda recently offered more details aboutUpdate 3 forIndiana Jones and the Great Circle, with the patch promising fixes for glaring problems during the title’s later portions and boosted graphics for those on PC. Today’s highly anticipated update was detailed by the development team in a new post onSteam, with a major highlight being support for Nvidia DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation and DLSS Ray Reconstruction for PC players. Several bugs that stopped players from reaching 100 percent in the game have been fixed, with many other graphical problems also being addressed. Additionally, repair kits can now be used by selecting them directly from the inventory in a nice quality-of-life update.

Given the continued success of the game, it’s unsurprising thatDisney reportedly wants moreIndiana Jonesgames. Developer MachineGames currently has several unannounced projects in the works, with one of these rumored to beWolfenstein 3. A new IP may also be coming down the pipeline from the Swedish studio, but it seems unlikely thatIndiana Jones and the Great Circlewill be a one-off success. With Harrison Ford himself praising Troy Baker for his role as the game’s titular character and the title continuing to see respectable player counts, news regarding a potential sequel is something many players are eagerly awaiting.

While aPlayStation 5 port ofIndiana Jones and the Great Circleis slated to be released during the first half of 2025, no exact release date has been announced just yet. According to Xbox boss Phil Spencer, the decision to bring the title to Sony’s flagship console was a business decision, and embracing a multiplatform strategy is a simple way to strengthen Microsoft’s brand.

Ray-Traced Local Lights

For players who have Path Tracing enabled, this update includes a new option for ray-traced shadows to include all light sources, which significantly increases the quality of shadows in interior locations. (Players can also choose to keep the previous setting, which provides ray-traced shadows from the sun only.)

Path Tracing (Full Ray Tracing) Support for AMD and Intel Graphics Cards

This update brings Path Tracing to supported Intel and AMD GPUs. To use Path Tracing, your Intel or AMD graphics card must support Hardware Ray Tracing and have at least 16GB of VRAM. Please verify to download the latest drivers from your GPU manufacturer!

Note that in foliage-dense locations, such as Sukhothai, reducing Vegetation Animation Quality below the “Ultra” settings can reduce the occasional shadow “popping” that may be seen on all graphics cards using Path Tracing.

FSR 3.1, including Frame Generation
