Among the many items you can find and unlock inInfinity Nikki, probably one of the more unexpected ones is Whim Fragrances. These items allow Nikki to augment and customize her arsenal of purification abilities, allowing her to execute more dynamic moves in battle against Esselings and other foes.
One such Whim Fragrance inInfinity Nikkiis the Double Vanilla fragrance. If you want to get your hands on this whimsical scent for your wardrobe then you’ll need to know exactly how to unlock and craft it.
How Do Whim Fragrances Work in Infinity Nikki?
Whim Fragrancesare a unique wardrobe item inInfinity Nikkithat are not so much a cosmetic item (likeEurekas) as they are an augmentation item. They are used specifically toaugment Nikki’s Purification abilities, including her default Purifying Orbs and her Plunge ability. Different fragrances can change certain stats such as recast timers, the size or style of an ability’s area-of-effect, charge times, and more.
You can equip up to three different Whim Fragrances at a time via the ‘Whim Fragrance’ tab in your Wardrobe menu (as seen above). There are three categories, including Hair Oils, Body Sprays, and Hand Powders.
To obtain a Whim Fragrance, there are two main objectives you need to do, in order. The first one is totrack down the fragrance’s main ingredient(a unique key item) in one of the game’s many cave locations. A quest will become available to help guide you to the correct cave. The ingredient can be found inside an Advanced Chest (the rarest tier) usually near the back of the cave and guarded by a small army of Esselings.
Once you have the ingredient, you then need tounlock the respective node for its crafting sketch on your Heart of Infinity grid. All nodes for Whim Fragrances are found on the right side of the grid, along two interconnected rows (as seen above). Look for the node you need for your new Whim Fragrance and unlock it using your stock ofWhimstarsand a certain amount of Blings. Some of the nodes can get a bit pricey, so unlock them as you need them.
When you have the correct sketch for your Whim Fragrance, go to your ‘Sketches’ tab and then to the ‘Whim Fragrance’ tab on the left side. This will show all your current and completed Whim Fragrance sketches. Pick the one that you want to craft, gather the required ingredients, and the fragrance will then be ready to use in your Wardrobe.
How to Get Meadow Zest (Double Vanilla) in Infinity Nikki
TheDouble Vanilla Whim Fragranceis aHair Oil-typefragrance inInfinity Nikkithat can be found once theFind Fragrance: Meadow Zestquest becomes available. Once you reach a new region in Wishfield, all ‘Find Fragrance’ quests for that region usually become available immediately, or unlock consecutively as you complete them.
The key ingredient that you need for the Double Vanilla Whim Fragrance isMeadow Zest, and find it you will need to seek out theWaterfall Cavefound in thenorthwest corner of the Wishing Woods. The nearest Warp Spire isBeauty Lab’s Waterwheel, just north of Timis’s Beauty Lab. Follow the cliffside until you find the cave entrance to the right of the waterfall.
Explore the cave until you find the Advanced Chest with the Meadow Zest inside. This will automatically complete the respective ‘Find Fragrance’ quest and your next task is to unlock its node on your Heart of Infinity Grid. It can be found at the northmost end of the outer branch of fragrance nodes (as seen above). It will cost you1 xWhimstarand100,000 x Blingto unlock, so allocate your funds wisely.
Once that’s done, you’re then ready to craft your new Double Vanilla fragrance. Go to the ‘Sketches’ tab on your Pear-Pal and find the ‘Whim Fragrance’ tab on the left side. Look for the Double Vanilla sketch and select it to view its required materials. Along with theMeadow Zestyou will need10,000 xBling,30 x Tough LeatherfromTough Octopack Esselingsand50 x Thread of Purity.
After putting it all together, your Double Vanilla fragrance will be ready to use via your Wardrobe Menu. It releases two Purifying Orbs simultaneously instead of one, so it will help Nikki pack even more of a punch.
