It has some of the highest stats you’re able to get from a shortsword, and you can get it as soon as you finish the first half of the game.
Amongthe many weapons inKCD2, shortswords are arguably the most versatile thanks to the many perks and bonuses you can get, and with Sir Valentine’s sword, you’ll be able to cut through enemies pretty easily. Here’s where to get it.
Where to Get Sir Valentine’s Sword in KCD2
The Sword of Sir Valentine is a craftable weapon, and you can get its schematic by completing The Reliquary, a side quest in the eastern side of Kuttenberg inKCD2. Head to the quest marker shown above until you meetthe Humble Knight in a secluded camp. This will put you on track to getting theSword of Sir Valentine—head into the crypt in the Sedletz Monastery, and examine the lid of Sir Valentine’s tomb to get the schematic.
Once you have the schematic, it’s time to start smithing. To craft the Sword of Sir Valentine, you’ll need the following:
Visit any smithy to craft this sword. If it’s your first time making it, we suggestsaving yourKCD2gamebefore you do. Use that save file to get a feel for how to forge the Sword of Saint Valentine.
Assuming you have the Martin’s Secret Craftsmanship perk,if you hammer all the right spots at the right pace without re-heating the blade,you can get an M-quality version of the sword, which is the highest tier of weapon in the game.
If your Craftsmanship skill is maxed out, you’ll still be able to forge M-quality weapons even if you make a few mistakes in the smithing process.

It’s a decent bit better than an M-quality Basilard, but it also has steeper minimum stat requirements at 10 Strength and 17 Agility.Leveling up Henry’s core statsmay take a while, but as long as you’re using a weapon that’s more than you can normally handle, you’ll be able to earn EXP at a faster rate, provided that you can deal with the penalties.
